MIXED MEDIA COLLAGE is for all levels of experience and for artists who wish to discover the wonderful opportunities this combination of media has to offer. The workshop will start with a materials overview and then reveal the “Big Secret” - how to get absolutely flat collages without any ripples or puckering. In this workshop we will focus on creative exploration and innovative mixed media techniques such as: using acrylic mediums and paints; working with specialized papers; acrylic glazing; washes and staining; image transfer techniques; working with joint compound; surface distressing; acrylic transfer skins and much, much more. This workshop will appeal to adventurous photographers as well as mixed media artists. Includes daily demos, presentations, time to paint and individual instruction. Supplies fee of $25. Payable in cash at the start of the workshop. The supplies will include 5 – 11” x 14” mdf boards, joint plaster, specialty papers prepared by Tony, ink, and more. Limit of 16 students.
