LINDA KEMP, CSPWC, OSA, SCA, is an elected member of the Society of Painters in Watercolour, the Ontario Society of Artists and the Society of Canadian Artists. Her internationally recognized painting concepts are the focus of her bestselling book and DVD, “Watercolor—Painting Outside the Lines—A Positive Approach to Negative Painting.” Linda teaches internationally and her work is included in several other books and publications. The interwoven forms and layers of patterns she discovers while investigating tangled woodlands provide her inspiration. It is her desire to decipher, understand and organize the shapes and colors that motivates her to paint. Daily projects of a variety of subject matter will incorporate alternative negative painting strategies, techniques for softening edges and blending color and effective brushwork.
