Have you been asking yourself the age-old questions:
"How can I grow as an artist?"
And,
"How do I take my work to the next level?"
If you are, you're certainly not alone. Painting is about the pursuit of knowledge and this ultimately extends to knowing what is working in our paintings and what are the areas that need consideration, in order for that growth to occur.
Are you an artist who would benefit from honest, sensitive and constructive critiques of your work on an ongoing basis? If you are, Leading Edge Art Workshops would like to invite you to join our small group to take part in our regular monthly art critique sessions.
"Critique" can be a scary word for some. For this reason we're calling our sessions, "Take Your Work To The Next Level!" ... because this is what we aim to do.
Our group of 10 like-minded artists will take part in our "Take Your Work to the Next Level!" critique group, which will be guided by a professional artist Bobbi Dunlop and offers genuine, sensitive and constructive feedback on your paintings.
You will receive positive feedback on what is working in your paintings, as well as constructive feedback to help you move forward and strengthen your work.
Consideration will be given to your chosen genre, as well as your personal intentions in your work.
Your peers will be eager to share in your inspiration and will be invited to take part, and in this, everyone will benefit and learn from each other.
The last session was so successful that we are expanding the meetings to 3 hour sessions, rather than 2 hours. Artists will meet monthly, from November - April and you are invited to bring 2-3 of your paintings for the group to review in each session.
This session will be led by artist, Bobbi Dunlop, who has extensive experience as a long-time professional artist as well as being a much in-demand instructor.
Group size is limited to 10 participants and we will meet once per month on a Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm as follows: November 3, December 1, January 5, February 2, March 9 and April 6. The cost is $200. for the six sessions, which is payable in advance. To register contact Louise Hall at 403 233 7389, louise.hall@shaw.ca or www.greatartworkshops.com.
This group is open to artists of all levels of accomplishment, and to all mediums. Come and join us for feedback, support, fun, and learning.

Session 1 of the critique get together was amazing. Lovely artists, constructive critiques, & Bobbie gave so much of her knowledge to the group at every session.
