About The Instructor
BRIAN BUCKRELL is a member of the Society of Canadian Artists and the Federation of Canadian Artists. He is also an elected member of the Ontario Society of Artists. He paints full time in acrylic and oil. His paintings are reflective of his love of the outdoors, travel, agriculture and rural communities and the more he paints the more his work moves towards abstracted impressions of his subjects. His paintings have been featured in Arabella Magazine, South West Art Magazine and Plein Air Magazine’s Plein Air Today. He’s also featured in the North Light Books: The Best of Acrylic Painters, 2014, 2015 and 2016. Online Workshop Description
PERSPECTIVE FOR LANDSCAPE PAINTERS
Friday evening at 5:00 pm, Pacific Time April 9 and 9AM to noon Pacific Time. April 10 & 11, 2021.
Demonstrations will be done using acrylics but the program is suitable for both oil and acrylic painters.
Perspective is one of the essential fundamentals required for strong landscape paintings. Yet many developing artists fail to include it (even avoid it) in their learning. During this three-session three-hour Zoom program, this workshop will develop an understanding of both linear and areal perspective using PowerPoint presentations, exercises, and painting demonstrations.
Participants will be able to discuss and ask questions during the Zoom presentation. This program is designed so students can work on exercises and the weekend’s painting and share it, if they wish, on a dedicated workshop Facebook Page for comment and discussion. The program will be challenging - but fun.
Location: Online
Dates: April 9-11, 2021 THIS WORKSHOP IS NOW FULL. PLEASE CONTACT THE OFFICE IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE ON THE WAIT LIST.
Price: $175.00
